The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

    We adopted Max and he had a collar his foster was advised to use instead of a harness. However, when out on walks, the collar didn't give much control/ security if he came across squirrels, foxes or cats. With the anti pull harness there is much more security in these situations and it even feels safer when walking normally without using the front clip

    These harnesses are superb with the only downside being their pricing, however these are so good they command a pricetag to reflect the quality! Adjustment is easy enough but can be a bit of a fiddle to get exactly perfect but once done the buckles stay put and don't slip. Generally the harness stays correct on the dogs body but if your pooch likes to pull a lot then it can ease over to one side a little, much less than other harnesses that can end up totally sideways with a random flight type pulling dog. Saying that, my woof has virtually instantly began walking with way less pulling while using this harness. This is his second one and i had the old one since he was much younger so this replacement is purely due to him growing and needing a size up! You do in fact get what you pay for, a little pricy but well worth it! Recommended harness for strong breeds, grab handle version also highly recommended and almost obligatory. Top product, top uk company!

    I have a 6 month old German Shepherd Puppy. So "normal" dog gear just isn't enough. Amazing Harness. Good Quality. Helps so much with her pulling. As she's a big girl (and still growing) its really important being confident that it wont break and my dog is secure. Amazing fit allows her to run freely without being restricted.     Previously had a different brand harness (the popular brand everyone seems to have) - Onzlo is reactive, and a puller (we're working on it) as well as being 28kg. I was reccomended BB by a friend & I can't believe the difference it's made to our walks - I have more control, and Onzlo walks calmer when he feels the tug on the chest, just wish we'd have had one earlier.

    How to put on a dog harness

    Start by unbuckling the harness and having your dog sit or stand still next to you. Slip the harness over their head and pull the straps underneath their tummy.     How to measure a harness for a dog

    To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls. 

    If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.
