Fun Fact: Did you know Staffordshire Bull Terriers were officially recognised by the Kennel Club as far back as 1935 - and have consistently ranked as one of the UK's most popular breeds ever since? FAQs

What size harness does a Staffy need?

Most Staffies need a Medium or Large - they're compact but incredibly muscular, so chest girth is often larger than you'd expect. Always measure before ordering and check our size calculator.

Do Staffies pull on the lead?

They can - particularly younger dogs who want to get to everything at once. A front-clip harness and consistent loose lead training is the most effective combination. The good news is your Staffy is people-pleasing enough to respond really well once they understand what you want.

Is a harness or collar better for a Staffy?

Both have their place. A harness is the better choice for walks, especially if your dog pulls. A collar is great for ID tags and everyday wear - just make sure the hardware is up to the job.

Are Staffies hard to walk on a lead?

They can be in the early stages - that puppy phase is a lot. But once your Staffy bonds with you and understands the rules, they're one of the most rewarding breeds to walk. The right gear makes the journey there much easier.

What collar is best for a Staffy?

Look for a wider collar with solid hardware and reinforced stitching. Staffies are strong enough to test cheaper collars, and discovering the weak point mid-walk isn't an experience anyone needs.
