The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

I love the fit and the quality of the harness. The color looks great on my dog. I do wish the handle was thicker and sturdier like the handle on the combat collars. It would be less likely to twist around your fingers if you're holding it and your dog is moving around.

Surpassed all expectations. I debated this purchase for a couple of months tbh, back and forth looking at similar harnesses that were cheaper, as for a nylon/fabric harness and lead it was quite expensive (for me and my family) BUT!!! Hand on heart it’s the best money I’ve ever spent on our dog! She’s a 57kg Presa Canario who’s an absolute sweetheart but pulls like a train to the point her walks were so minimal I felt guilty! I bought this for Ralph (dachshund x jack Russell) as he was using a standard collar and lead which was meant to help with his pulling but didn’t help at all. The day this harness arrived I could tell the quality was amazing and the very first walk surprised me as he actually walked next to me the whole time, he didn’t pull at all I clipped the lead on the front and top which gave me a lot more control and also ease of mind with the double locks to make it more secure. How to put on a dog harness

How to measure a harness for a dog

To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls. 

If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.
