Important - Creating your unique look with our bespoke stitching/engraving quality could take us up to 7-10 working days to complete, it's well worth the wait though.

When customising the Combat Range, the adjuster may cover part of the text. The best way to help avoid this is to choose the smallest size which will fit your dog; the adjuster will then be located at the end of the collar away from the name.

The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

I’m convinced Ernie our Labrador could easily pull a train full of people, he’s so strong ! We’ve used different harnesses, head collars, anti pull devices, and nothing really worked for the both of us. I either found them ill-fitting or they made him miserable. The Anti Pull Tri Harness fits him perfectly, and with the front clip option he doesn’t even try and pull me, it’s a joy to walk around our little town now. It’s even stopped him from lunging towards other dogs to excitedly say hello! It’s also great on adventure woodland walks, the back clips gives him the freedom to explore more and the swivel lead that I purchased with the harness stops is getting tangled.

My 8 month old Cane Corso x Olde English Bulldog is already 35kg and I feel every bit of weight when he pulls. I already have a collar and slip lead from BullyBillows and love the quality and fit so a new harness was a no brainer. This harness fits perfectly and has growing room which is great. When I brought his first BB puppy harness he found it too heavy he was only very young I loved the Box package it came in but I completely understand why the 2nd Harness was packed in a different way also it was a reduced Valentine's offer so definitely I didn't mind the presentation all in all he loves it ! I'm not sure Collies like being tethered in any capacity to be fair.. He is still pulling me I can't control his head strength with the harness. I'm still looking for a Halti type noseband that is flat and secured in a way it won't damage my dog's neck and one that he can't flip off with his paw.. 🐾🐾🐾 😎😁👍🏽🙊🐺

Another great purchase from BB! My husband and I recently adopted a 16 month old Mastiff cross. She's a strong girl with minimal social interaction, so the world is a very exciting place for her! We needed a strong harness to match her strength and to allow us to work on her positive reinforcement training. The TRI-harness is perfect for our needs! With 3 points of contact, it allows good control, but combined with the Combat collar (so we can grab her easily if needed) and a head collar for additional control, she's quickly learning to walk calmly on lead. Cannot recommend BB products enough!

I have a 21kg Male Staffy, he's on the lean side I'd say, but a healthy weight. I ordered a Small, having previously had a Medium (same harness) that has got too big for his around his chest/neck. (from pulling a lot and stretching the old harness). The Small size is still quite large and loose around his chest/neck - even on the tightest setting, It just fits (on the loosest setting) around his tummy. Wondering if I have a unique shaped Staffy!? Its still a brilliant harness and helps reduce pulling. He's very comfortable in it.

As a no pull secure harness it is brilliant. But Sorry For her stomach it's as loose as it will go but it's maybe a touch too tight for her. After trying previous harnesses on our male boxer we needed something he can’t work his way out of. With the BB harnesses I can walk them with more control. FAQs

How to put on a dog harness

Start by unbuckling the harness and having your dog sit or stand still next to you. Slip the harness over their head and pull the straps underneath their tummy. Or, if you have a step-in harness, place it on the floor and help your dog place their feet correctly, before pulling it up over their back. Fasten it up securely, making sure it’s not too tight or too loose, and adjust accordingly.

What is the best dog harness?

The best dog harness really depends on the breed, size, and activity level of your dog. The comfortable Hurricane Harness features a useful handle and is super lightweight, while the Premium Harness is a great all-rounder for any dog. The traditional slip-on harnesses offer quick and easy fitting, while step-in harnesses might be better for dogs that dislike harnesses going over their head. And if your dog pulls, the TRI-Harness helps with training to prevent excessive pulling on the lead. You can read more in our Dog Harness Buying Guide. All of our harnesses are lined with Neoprene which is soft and helps avoid harsh burns unlike other brands.

How to measure a harness for a dog

To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls. 

If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.

How to use a dog harness correctly

To ensure you’re using your dog harness correctly, you need to make sure it’s properly fitted. This means that it’s tight enough to prevent the harness moving, but loose enough to allow your pooch to move comfortably. Attach your lead to your chosen D-ring, whether that’s on their back or their chest, and get ready for your adventure!
