About personalisation
Important - Creating your unique look with our bespoke stitching/engraving quality could take us up to 7-10 working days to complete, it's well worth the wait though.
When customising the Combat Range, the adjuster may cover part of the text. The best way to help avoid this is to choose the smallest size which will fit your dog; the adjuster will then be located at the end of the collar away from the name.
Preview images are for illustration only, text and Icons will always be centered neatly on the product. Colours and fonts may change very slightly during production.
We offer personalisation option on almost all of our Collars, Leads and Harnesses. What are the key benefits of adding personalisation to your BullyBillows gear?
1. They're unique to you and your dog.
2. If you have multiple dogs, adding your dogs name can help to distinguish which collar is for which dog.
3. Adding a phone number and Social handle in the unfortunate event of your dog getting lost, this is a very powerful way to ensure your dog can be tracked back to you.
4. If you have a working dog, nervous dog or one who just loves to jump, you can enter names such as POLICE DOG, WARNING, DO NOT PET, NERVOUS etc.

The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.
The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

This harness was a real game changer for me should of bought one earlier I would highly recommend you give it a try worked for me at first my dog Mabel a 5 year old English bull terrier done her usual bully thing tried to get it off jumping around doing topical bully things but soon got used to it on our first walk I noticed she wasn’t pulling as much within 10 minutes she stopped pulling all together also Mabel gets excited when she see something of interest which ends in her pulling to get to it with this harness it was easier to control/redirect her and stop the pulling so far so good 10 walks in and she’s a different dog with this harness just got to see if it will last/survive a typical bull terrier
Winston looks so Smart in his new personalised harness. its easy to put and and keeps him nicely secure. we have made a few purchases from BB and will definitely return again.
I love this harness for Mabel. After using several different brands and styles, I have finally found a harness that ticks all the boxes.
Firstly - it's escape proof! My dog is Houdini when it comes to getting out of harnesses, but this one, she cannot back out of.
Secondly - minimal clips. Mabel hates the sounds of the clasps closing and some harnesses have 3 or 4, and each one she would flinch at. This harness goes over her head, and had one clip. Brilliant!
Thirdly - great control. Mabel can be quite reactive to other dogs, and this harness helps me control her better. This is having a positive impact on her, as she is learning that she is safe and I have control over her. It makes it easier for me to walk her on and forget about other dogs. Combined with the slip collar, it is a complete game changer.
Bought this for my shar pei fits him well, looks great on him too. He walks well so far less pulling but with some training I’m sure he’ll be walking perfectly in no time 😁
My older dog already has his Bullybillows set, so obviously, my 5 month old needs his as well.
Both my dogs are staffy mixes, so they're incredibly strong. I won't put them in anything other than Bullybillows, especially the Tri harness. It's absolutely beautiful, and the quality is beyond wordly!
They also look incredibly handsome 😍
I have a 4 year old staffy cross who has the dark blue Tri harness and matching collar, so my younger baby also needed his own set (just ordered his collar)
He's 5 months old and looks so proud in his beautiful new harness!
I absolutely swear by Bullybillows and won't have my dogs wear anything else!
I cannot put into words how incredible the quality is, especially when you have strong dogs!
Wow! What a harness. (Size c)
Super strong and fits beautifully with room to spare. I was struggling with my 4 month old male cane corso pulling and me not wanting to pull on his neck but this instantly gave me the leverage I needed.
He threw a couple of decent tantrums getting used to the harness on day one but he is exquisitely stubborn.
We live very rurally and don’t see many cars so when one did come past he would act up. With this harness and some tasty chicken, cars are now ignored.
Arthur is a terribly reactive rescue dog and a strong puller. He’d also worked out how to slip his old, fabric harness from a different brand and escaped several times. BUT NOT ANY MORE! This harness is a game-changer. I’ve gone from being pulled around on walks like Santa on his sleigh to having both hands in my pocket 😍 Thanks Bully Billows!
This photo doesn't show the harness very well but it does show that he isn't pulling as much as he was in the Julius!
It is adjustable and fits Duncan so well, although I would make a few minor changes, it is absolutely the best harness we have had for him. He seems comfortable, he is well controlled, it is so sturdy and well made. We love the multiple points you can clip a lead to and combined with the training lead they work so well in conjunction.
Minor change would be for the middle to have a clip either side to fit round his waist, Duncan refuses to step through one leg and so we constantly have to rethread the middle to be able to clip him in. But I'm being very picky and really it's probably more that Dunc is awkward 😉
Our puppy Cane Corso is growing incredibly quickly & we have been working our way through multiple other brand harnesses over the last 5 months. We have finally found a harness that is going to suit her into adulthood (size C). It's so adaptable, saving us a fortune on buying more harnesses, fitting her neck and chest perfectly, with the opportunity to adjust in all directions as she grows.
Equally, it's very secure and robust - it feels comforting to know we have a harness we can trust to keep our little lady safe. The lead we bought to match is great too - super strong & comfortable to hold. A great purchase!!
My dog is an awkward size but this is a really good harness as all the parts are adjustable. The colour is stunning and have the matching lead and collar. He is very happy wearing it. It occasionally slips slightly to one side but never enough to ever hinder his movement and this maybe his awkward size again!
Extremely great choice to choose from for all types of needs ie. Pulling etc. Sizes to suit all, my boy is a funny size and I was so happy to find his size! The quality is excellent, you can literally feel the quality. Love the range of colours. The dispatch and delivery is super quick i was gobsmacked how quick i revieved mine. My harness came in extremely well packaged box which was a beautiful logo box. Will never buy from anywhere else again, nor will I ever recommend anywhere to anyone but Bully Billows. My boy is seen here in the size C.
We love this harness! It is very sturdy and I feel confident walking my girl in it. I also got the matching traffic handle which is a god send when you just need a little additional control around triggers.
My lurcher pup is very excitable and will leap in the air and pull. The anti pull harness is brilliant and she is now walking far better and calmly. The double ended training lead is great. When walking I use it on the front ring of the harness and on the first ring on the back of the harness and the difference in her is amazing. I love that I can unclip this lead from the front ring on the harness and she can then have a good sniff around with the freedom it gives. Thank you for such fantastic designs and quality
Absolutely love this harness on my Great Dane pup! He also has the burgundy combat collar and leash. Absolutely amazing! He's in his fear stage now which makes him nervous around new people and dogs and having this gear has definitely helped!
Great harness, fits very well. Easy to adjust to a perfect size. We’ve got size A. The straps are quite thick compared to other brands we own, but it all stays in place and she seems comfortable. Would recommend:)
Since purchasing the anti pull TRI harness are beautiful 24kg Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Ronnie, has completely stopped pulling on his lead. It’s been an absolute game changer for me and for him. I would recommend this harness in a heart beat. It’s really well made and comfortable for Ronnie to wear and achieves exactly what it promises.
Give it a go.
It's a little big for the one we bought it for but it fits one of our other dogs perfectly. Well made and a lovely colour will be getting all of ours new harnesses soon
We got these harness’s for two of our German pointers and a border terrier, they are fantastic best harness I’ve ever used , the staff are very helpful too
It works great when used with back clips but the front clip and the size of my dog is not the greatest. The harness is great but not what it was intended for, just because of the size of my girl
Fabulous harness and this is the 3rd Ive had for Tilly. One improvement could be to have the clasp made of metal instead of plastic as I've had 2 where the male end has had one of the prongs snap as they can get brittle. Ceetainly help to stop my bullys pulling when clipped on the front. And they look lovely on.
I was very pleased to see that BullyBillows now had a new harness with the correct placement of the chest ring. Previous designs i had seen had it placed incorrectly.
I thought it was a nice design and good quality but very heavy and thick. Suitable for large breeds.
Start by unbuckling the harness and having your dog sit or stand still next to you. Slip the harness over their head and pull the straps underneath their tummy. Or, if you have a step-in harness, place it on the floor and help your dog place their feet correctly, before pulling it up over their back. Fasten it up securely, making sure it’s not too tight or too loose, and adjust accordingly.
What is the best dog harness?
The best dog harness really depends on the breed, size, and activity level of your dog. The comfortable Hurricane Harness features a useful handle and is super lightweight, while the Premium Harness is a great all-rounder for any dog. The traditional slip-on harnesses offer quick and easy fitting, while step-in harnesses might be better for dogs that dislike harnesses going over their head. And if your dog pulls, the TRI-Harness helps with training to prevent excessive pulling on the lead. You can read more in our Dog Harness Buying Guide. All of our harnesses are lined with Neoprene which is soft and helps avoid harsh burns unlike other brands.
How to measure a harness for a dog
To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls.
If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.
How to use a dog harness correctly
To ensure you’re using your dog harness correctly, you need to make sure it’s properly fitted. This means that it’s tight enough to prevent the harness moving, but loose enough to allow your pooch to move comfortably. Attach your lead to your chosen D-ring, whether that’s on their back or their chest, and get ready for your adventure!
