Important - Creating your unique look with our bespoke stitching/engraving quality could take us up to 7-10 working days to complete, it's well worth the wait though.

When customising the Combat Range, the adjuster may cover part of the text. The best way to help avoid this is to choose the smallest size which will fit your dog; the adjuster will then be located at the end of the collar away from the name.

The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

My staffy is a nightmare for pulling, he’s also quite reactive to most other dogs so walking him was hard work. We’ve only had a few walks with this harness but so far it’s much better, he still pulls but with nowhere near as much force as normal, making walks with him more enjoyable

We have struggled with dog pulling for years, we have tried different harnesses and collars and the tri harness stopped pulling almost immediately! We are blown away by the difference this has made to our dog walking experience! I think our harnesses move around on us because our fur babies are so furry. My Antony, a 120lbs Great Pyrenees, looks so cute in this. His white fur really brings out the nice deep blue of this harness. He’s not a reactive dog, but likes to pretend he is tough and sometimes he pulls. With his other harness or collars, he was able to control his walks but with this, the humans got control back. It’s funny that sometimes he “digs his heels” so not to me “controlled” because he wants to spend 10 minutes sniffing a single blade of grass, but with this harness, he can still manage to throw a tantrum but it’s easier to get him out of it than the other items we have for him. I really like this harness and it’s very fashionable!

I’ve tried every harness & leash you can think of this is the best one yet. I have a 2 year old 80 lb pitbull that usually pulls me down the street when we walk but not anymore. FAQs

How to put on a dog harness

Start by unbuckling the harness and having your dog sit or stand still next to you. Slip the harness over their head and pull the straps underneath their tummy. Or, if you have a step-in harness, place it on the floor and help your dog place their feet correctly, before pulling it up over their back. Fasten it up securely, making sure it’s not too tight or too loose, and adjust accordingly.

What is the best dog harness?

The best dog harness really depends on the breed, size, and activity level of your dog. The comfortable Hurricane Harness features a useful handle and is super lightweight, while the Premium Harness is a great all-rounder for any dog. The traditional slip-on harnesses offer quick and easy fitting, while step-in harnesses might be better for dogs that dislike harnesses going over their head. And if your dog pulls, the TRI-Harness helps with training to prevent excessive pulling on the lead. You can read more in our Dog Harness Buying Guide. All of our harnesses are lined with Neoprene which is soft and helps avoid harsh burns unlike other brands.

How to measure a harness for a dog

To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls. 

If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.

How to use a dog harness correctly

To ensure you’re using your dog harness correctly, you need to make sure it’s properly fitted. This means that it’s tight enough to prevent the harness moving, but loose enough to allow your pooch to move comfortably. Attach your lead to your chosen D-ring, whether that’s on their back or their chest, and get ready for your adventure!
