The neck measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the collar is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

Absolutely top quality material! Feels well made and very good quality. I would normally consider myself a "money saver" a.k.a "cheap-ass" when it comes to pieces like collar or harness etc. it's so easy to just go on amazon or ebay and buy something for £15-20 but it's most likely imported from china and let's be honest - the quality is poor at the best times. We ordered whole travel set for our 5y old Romanian rescue and I must say I am well impressed. If you asked me would I buy it again? Oh, absolutely! Thank you Bully Billows!

Love love this collar, as you can see, it really suits my baby. I got her the 4cm one as I thought the 5cm would look too bulky around her neck. Having the handle on it has come in handy as well, as when someone comes to the house, she sometimes jumps up on them, so I can now grab it, to pull her off them. It's strong, well made, and it's worth it, and look how nice it looks 😊

Great product I love it and use it every day but one thing I will say is maybe make the ring on the collar that the lead attaches to a little bit smaller maybe because it just looks a bit big on my boys neck because he is on the smaller side of a large dog but other than that it’s spot on👌🏻👊👍

Love the collar, but the profile of the d-ring is square so the paint was coming off after the first walk. The round profile you have on the standard combat collars works much better. My safety clip does not fit on the square profile so having to search for one with a larger clip

FAQs

What is the best dog collar?

The best dog collar really depends on the breed, size and activity level of your dog. Slip-on collars are great to assist training your dog that pulls, whereas a Combat collar is perfect for everyday use and comes in various thicknesses, from 2.5cm for smaller breeds to 5cm for XL breeds. Our pin buckle collars are also a great choice among medium to XL dog owners, and the Billowthane collar range is 100% waterproof, ideal for pooches who love water! How tight should a dog collar be?

Similar to harnesses, a dog collar should be snug but not too tight. We’d recommend being able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck - if you can fit more than two fingers, the collar may be too loose and could slip off. If you can’t fit two fingers, it might be too tight for your dog causing discomfort and potentially breathing difficulties.

Do dogs have to wear collars?

It’s a legal requirement for dogs to wear collars with ID tags when in public. The tag needs to display your name and address to help reunite you and your dog if they ever get lost. We know that a lot of owners prefer using harnesses, but a collar and ID tag are essential to comply with UK law when you’re out in public, so make sure you’ve got both on if needs be.

How do you measure a dog collar?

To measure a dog collar, wrap a flexible measuring tape around the base (the lower sections) of your dog’s neck whilst leaving enough room to fit two fingers in between. A lot of collars are adjustable, which is ideal for a puppy as you can simply extend the collar as they grow into it.
