The neck measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the collar is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

This 4cm width collar is suitable for medium-large breeds such as Frenchies, Staffies, Spaniels, German Shepherds, Huskies and upwards. If your dog is smaller or larger than these breeds, please see our 2.5cm and our 5cm collar versions.

The BullyBillows 4cm Combat® Collar is designed for dogs and handlers who need dependable strength without compromising on comfort. Featuring a 6mm stainless steel D-ring and our signature-rated Combat® Clip, it provides secure attachment with quick release when needed.

Our Combat® Clips have been pressure tested, giving you added confidence that your dog remains safe and secure during walks and everyday handling.

For additional security, the clip can only be opened by pressing both levers simultaneously, helping to prevent accidental release.

Excellant collar top quality, padded, with heavy duty clasp and D ring and it looks good. Grab handle is very useful especially on town walks as Moose is a little reactive around electric bikes and motorbikes. Would definately recommend.

This collar is so well made , was unsure at first might be to wide for my boys neck, but how wrong was I , he looks absolutely amazing in it , fits him so well and I know this is never going to come off him as the clasp is so strong , It did take me a while to fathom out how to open it but got there in the end lol Purchased as needed collar with handle to grab Buddy if needed as unable to wear harness It matches lead and collar I use as a harness I bought previously we have had comments on how great he looks in it all I am so happy with all products purchased

We’ve now purchased the 4cm combat collar with handle as Loki’s main collar, we already have the 5cm for when he grows a bit more. It fits perfectly, beautiful colour and most importantly is very well made and sturdy. It gives you great peace of mind that it won’t break if you need to keep a hold of your dog for any reason. We also brought the chamomile shampoo and cologne which smells AMAZING! Long lasting and leaves his coat soft and shiny. He’s also got skin problems which this doesn’t irritate. What is the best dog collar?

The best dog collar really depends on the breed, size and activity level of your dog. Slip-on collars are great to assist training your dog that pulls, whereas a Combat collar is perfect for everyday use and comes in various thicknesses, from 2.5cm for smaller breeds to 5cm for XL breeds. Our pin buckle collars are also a great choice among medium to XL dog owners, and the Billowthane collar range is 100% waterproof, ideal for pooches who love water! How tight should a dog collar be?

Similar to harnesses, a dog collar should be snug but not too tight. We’d recommend being able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck - if you can fit more than two fingers, the collar may be too loose and could slip off. If you can’t fit two fingers, it might be too tight for your dog causing discomfort and potentially breathing difficulties.

Do dogs have to wear collars?

It’s a legal requirement for dogs to wear collars with ID tags when in public. The tag needs to display your name and address to help reunite you and your dog if they ever get lost. We know that a lot of owners prefer using harnesses, but a collar and ID tag are essential to comply with UK law when you’re out in public, so make sure you’ve got both on if needs be.

How do you measure a dog collar?

To measure a dog collar, wrap a flexible measuring tape around the base (the lower sections) of your dog’s neck whilst leaving enough room to fit two fingers in between. A lot of collars are adjustable, which is ideal for a puppy as you can simply extend the collar as they grow into it.
