The neck measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the collar is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

Each collar is approximately 100g lighter per size than our standard 4cm Combat® Collars, giving you powerful control with noticeably less bulk.

We love the collar! We’ve got a Labrador cross and ordered a medium. The colour is gorgeous. I would say it does look quite thick around her neck (we will try order the 2.5 one next time however there was none available in her size). The only downside is my dogs halti does not clip onto the collar fully as the buckle is too wide, apart from that it’s perfect.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I purchased a collar before this one,dont get me wrong I like the collar alot! But this collar is just a lot lighter. Material still well made! I do have a suggestion on a collar that has reflectors of some sort or some kind of light..I walk my dog at night,being it is a lot cooler. But it would be nice to have a collar that had lights or some sort of a reflector so cars can see us.

Love the gear , wear it have the whole collection in pink and when the pink in pink collar came out I had to have it to match my utility multi handle lead but the colouring is slightly off so no match as not like the pics but but that’s my ocd taking over. other then that it’s brilliant I have the same pink collar as a spare with black metal work that matches my traffic control lead and hurricane harness. All fit my active Dalmatian lovely. Even have the comb in pink from these and is brilliant

Amazing lead we bought the slip lead and it’s totally changed our walking experience with out 16month old Red Fox Lab . What is the best dog collar?

The best dog collar really depends on the breed, size and activity level of your dog. Slip-on collars are great to assist training your dog that pulls, whereas a Combat collar is perfect for everyday use and comes in various thicknesses, from 2.5cm for smaller breeds to 5cm for XL breeds. Our pin buckle collars are also a great choice among medium to XL dog owners, and the Billowthane collar range is 100% waterproof, ideal for pooches who love water! How tight should a dog collar be?

Similar to harnesses, a dog collar should be snug but not too tight. We’d recommend being able to fit two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck - if you can fit more than two fingers, the collar may be too loose and could slip off. If you can’t fit two fingers, it might be too tight for your dog causing discomfort and potentially breathing difficulties.

Do dogs have to wear collars?

It’s a legal requirement for dogs to wear collars with ID tags when in public. The tag needs to display your name and address to help reunite you and your dog if they ever get lost. We know that a lot of owners prefer using harnesses, but a collar and ID tag are essential to comply with UK law when you’re out in public, so make sure you’ve got both on if needs be.

How do you measure a dog collar?

To measure a dog collar, wrap a flexible measuring tape around the base (the lower sections) of your dog’s neck whilst leaving enough room to fit two fingers in between. A lot of collars are adjustable, which is ideal for a puppy as you can simply extend the collar as they grow into it.
