Product description

Introducing the Slip Lead that everyone is talking about. Are you in?

We are excited to present our latest design: an anti-tangle slip lead that is both rigid enough for walking your dog and supple enough to allow free movement. As your dog moves in different directions, the lead won't tangle thanks to our bespoke swivel mechanism, which works in harmony with your dog's movements, eliminating the common issue of tangled leads.

The unique rubber stopper locks into place, so once you have adjusted it to fit around your dog's neck and head, it will stay securely in position. This feature allows you to maintain greater control over your dog.

Our lead is easy and convenient to use, making it perfect for crate transfers, potty breaks, and training—no collar or harness is needed.

It is designed to fit all types of breeds, with a durable construction made from firmly woven nylon for maximum quality.

Specifications:

  • Length: 1.2 meters
  • Diameter: 1.2 cm
  • Bespoke rubber band to prevent the lead from becoming loose and limp.

Beautiful collar and lead for my beautiful Belgium Import puppy, Sprout! I have tactical collars from here for my Dobermann and my Chinese Red Dog, but this one is for my Dalmatian... love them all 🥰🥰

Having bought many leads for family dogs over the years, this lead is by far the best. The rubber stopper on the slip lead is of good quality and stays put throughout our walk. The lead is also very comfortable in the hand and around my puppy’s neck, he really looks forward to our walks when the lead comes out.

Overall I am happy it’s decent quality and does what is says on the tin. The down side is the material it causes kinks in the rope if the dogs goes in circles. For me it’s annoying would have been better with different material

Good sturdy lead, particularly like the swivel and solid rubber stop. Last one gave up after 4 year’s continuous use. Could do with a longer version for figure of eight mode as dog and man can get in each others way

As with all BullyBillows products, the quality of the lead is superb & a pleasure to use with it's reliable strength and a super soft, comfortable hand grip, perfection. Obviously the glorious array of colours available, make the items very appealing too.

Slipping the lead over his nose completely changes his body language and makes the walk more enjoyable for me. He no longer pulls or jerks to the side and this proves less tiring. I like that it’s easy to use either method.

This is the only slip lead I have found which is made of extremely tough cord and very strong , reinforced metal links . I was also very impressed with the rubber 'stopper' which is so easy to adjust, compared to many others on the market. The handle is also very comfortable and sturdy, making it much easier to hold and control the dog. My second slip lead purchase from this company, and definitely my 'go-to' online store for future purchases.

This is my third one of these leads, the previous have lasted about 18 months each - the stopper starts to get a little loose at that point. They have revolutionised walking my cocker spaniel, he is a rescue and spins incessantly - but can now walk on a slack lead a lot of the time and I don't spend half the walk untwisting his lead.

FAQs

How to put a slip lead on a dog

To put a slip lead on your dog, create a loop and slide this over your dog’s head, positioning it just behind their ears. Gently pull on the lead to ensure it’s snug but not too tight, and adjust the rubber stopper so that it’s secure around your dog’s neck. This can provide better control during walks without choking your dog.

Do dogs have to be on a lead?

Dogs should be on a lead in certain areas, including roads, parks, beaches and children’s play areas. Your local council might also have rules for specific places where dogs should be on a lead. However, even in dog parks and fields, it’s important that they are kept under control and that you have a lead on-hand for safety and compliance with local laws.

What is the best lead for dogs that pull?

If you’re struggling with a dog that pulls, having the right lead can make all of the difference. Our training slip leads provide more control without hurting or choking your dog, while our Combat clip leads are a popular choice due to the soft handle that’s comfortable for your hands. Make sure that your lead works well with your chosen collar or harness, which are also important factors when it comes to dogs who pull.

How long should a lead be?

The length of a lead really depends on the situation. A standard length lead (1.2-1.8m) is great for training as well as providing control in busy areas. We also have a Traffic Handle Lead for keeping your dog safe when walking near busy roads. For more freedom on walks, longer leads (up to 10m) allow your dog to explore whilst ensuring they are safely connected to you.
