Product description

All the Versatility. 100g Lighter.

Love the versatility of our original Training Double Ended Lead?
Meet the
BullyBillows Lightweight Training Double Ended Lead, designed to deliver the same multi-functional approach in a lighter construction. With a weight saving of 100g compared with the original, it offers a lighter feel for everyday walks, training sessions and outdoor adventures.

One Lead. Seven Ways to Use.
From everyday walking to focused training, this versatile 2m lead adapts to suit different situations, giving you more flexibility without needing multiple leads.

  • Short Length: Ideal for heel training and walking in busy areas.
  • Medium Length: Suitable for obedience training and closer handling.
  • Long Length: Offers additional reach for recall and distance work.
  • Hands-Free Use: Can be configured for waist-worn or over-the-shoulder use where suitable.
  • Supervised Tethering: Offers a convenient tethering option when used appropriately under supervision.
  • Double Steering: Attach both ends to suitable attachment points to help guide your dog when training.
  • Duo-Walking: Connect both dogs to both ends of the lead, connecting another lead in the middle.

Lightweight Design. Everyday Comfort.
Made from premium soft-woven nylon, the Lightweight Training Double Ended Lead is designed to feel comfortable in your hand while offering the versatility needed for daily walking and training. Its lighter construction reduces the weight you carry compared with the original model, making it a practical option for handlers who prefer a more streamlined feel.

Strengthened Aluminium Hardware
The lead features strengthened aluminium hardware, combining a lightweight design with practical everyday functionality. The hardware is covered by the BullyBillows lifetime rust-proof guarantee, giving you added confidence in its long-term use.

Pair with our Harnesses
For greater flexibility during training, pair the lead with the BullyBillows TRI, Air Mesh or Hurricane Harness. Attaching one end to the front D-loop and the other to the back D-loop allows you to use the double-steering configuration, helping you guide and redirect your dog during walks and training sessions.

Customer photo review of Lightweight Training Double Ended Dog Lead | 2m Length - Pink

Ive recently got a new dog, she's very nervous, and isn't used to being taken out. The harness and lead she came with just weren't able to make her feel confident and comfortable. She wriggled out of her harness! So I did some research and found Bully Billows, they had several harnesses and leads. But I chose the double lead simply because it would give me more control when something spooked her. She seems much calmer with them on, and went out for her first proper walk. She didn't pull or try to run away, it made such a difference. Worth every penny!

I have waited for this to come back in stock because we have kitted our recently rescued American bulldog out in all the pink bullybillows things! It’s been an incredibly useful addition to our lead and harness set. I can wear the dual clipped lead in multiple ways which is helpful when walking our dogs. As you can see in the beach picture, it can also be used to extend our current ladder lead to allow our rescue dog additional lead length to explore the sea for the first time, whilst keeping her safe. The lead is of excellent quality and the dual clip adds extra security. I cannot recommend bullybillows to people enough, I use their products for my boxer, American bulldog and cockapoo.

Chose the lighter lead for French bulldog to match with hurricane harness. A daily walk involves traffic, woods and open field so having the various lengths in one lead is perfect. Metalware lighter, but mechanism feels robust. Time will tell.

FAQs

How to put a slip lead on a dog

To put a slip lead on your dog, create a loop and slide this over your dog’s head, positioning it just behind their ears. Gently pull on the lead to ensure it’s snug but not too tight, and adjust the rubber stopper so that it’s secure around your dog’s neck. This can provide better control during walks without choking your dog.

Do dogs have to be on a lead?

Dogs should be on a lead in certain areas, including roads, parks, beaches and children’s play areas. Your local council might also have rules for specific places where dogs should be on a lead. However, even in dog parks and fields, it’s important that they are kept under control and that you have a lead on-hand for safety and compliance with local laws.

What is the best lead for dogs that pull?

If you’re struggling with a dog that pulls, having the right lead can make all of the difference. Our training slip leads provide more control without hurting or choking your dog, while our Combat clip leads are a popular choice due to the soft handle that’s comfortable for your hands. Make sure that your lead works well with your chosen collar or harness, which are also important factors when it comes to dogs who pull.

How long should a lead be?

The length of a lead really depends on the situation. A standard length lead (1.2-1.8m) is great for training as well as providing control in busy areas. We also have a Traffic Handle Lead for keeping your dog safe when walking near busy roads. For more freedom on walks, longer leads (up to 10m) allow your dog to explore whilst ensuring they are safely connected to you.
