FAQs

What are the must-have BullyBillows accessories every owner needs?

The daily non-negotiables: a secure ID tag (legally required in the UK), poop bags (biodegradable, ideally), a collar or lead suited to your dog's size and strength, and a travel restraint for car journeys. Beyond the basics, a lick mat reduces anxiety and slows down the kind of dog who treats every meal like a speed record attempt. A deshedding comb keeps grooming covered. And a car seat belt strap for safe travel, the one item most owners only buy after a sharp braking incident they'd rather forget.

Are BullyBillows accessories suitable for all dog breeds?

Yes. Our accessories come in size variants or with adjustable fittings to accommodate everything from a Chihuahua to a Cane Corso. Where sizing matters (harnesses, collars, coats) check out our detailed size guides and breed-specific recommendations. BullyBillows was built around the needs of powerful, large breeds, which means durability and hardware strength are baked in as standard rather than charged as a premium. Owners of smaller breeds get the same build quality. Their dogs just carry it with slightly more drama.

Are BullyBillows grooming tools good for heavy shedders?

The deshedding comb is. It's designed specifically for dense, double-coated breeds who shed like it's a competitive sport - German Shepherds, Labradors, Huskies, Golden Retrievers. The comb reaches the undercoat to remove loose, dead hair before it migrates to your clothes, your sofa, and your dignity. A standard brush just moves the surface coat around. The deshedding comb actually pulls the problem out at the source. Use it 2–3 times a week during moult season and you'll notice the difference. Your hoover will thank you.

Is the BullyBillows car seat belt strap compatible with all harnesses?

It clips to any harness with a standard D-ring attachment point, which covers the vast majority of harnesses on the market including the full BullyBillows harness range. Important note: never attach a seat belt strap to a collar. The forces involved in a sudden stop or collision are not what a collar - or a neck - is designed to absorb. Always use a harness. If you're not sure whether your existing harness is compatible, contact us and we’ll try our best to help.

Is the BullyBillows car seat belt stress tested?

BullyBillows products are stress tested and built to exceed the demands of powerful breeds, the same hardware and stitching standards trusted by police and military handlers. All load-bearing components are rated for the kind of sudden directional forces that would occur in normal harsh braking. For larger breeds (30kg+) this specification genuinely matters. Cheaper seat belt straps use plastic buckles and light stitching which may not keep a large dog safe in the event of an accident

Are BullyBillows poop bags biodegradable?

Yes. BullyBillows poop bags are biodegradable and break down naturally rather than persisting in landfill. They're thick enough to do the job without tearing mid-use, which is a very specific type of horror that owners of cheaper eco bags know all too well. They come in roll format, compatible with standard lead-attached dispensers. If you're going to pick up after your dog every single day (and you should) it's one of the easiest swaps you can make.
