Product description

Strength. Control. Built for the Walk.

Designed for strength and dependable handling, the BullyBillows 1.4m Combat Rope Lead combines a robust rope design with practical features to support comfortable, controlled everyday walks.

Whether you're walking a powerful dog, navigating busy streets or managing sudden changes in direction, this lead brings together durable construction and handler comfort to help you stay in control.

Built for Strength

At the heart of the Combat Rope Lead is a custom, pressure-tested safety clip, designed to provide a secure connection to your dog's collar or harness.

Paired with a heavy-duty 360° anti-tangle swivel mechanism, the clip rotates as your dog moves, helping to prevent the lead from twisting and tangling. This gives you a more manageable walking experience, even when your dog is active or frequently changes direction.

Comfort When It Matters Most

A strong lead should also be comfortable to handle. The Combat Rope Lead features an interior handle lined with soft Neoprene padding, providing a more comfortable grip during everyday walks.

The Neoprene lining is quick-drying and odour-resistant, helping keep the handle comfortable and pleasant to use in a range of weather conditions.

Designed with both strength and practicality in mind, the Combat Rope Lead brings together robust hardware and thoughtful comfort features for daily use.

Made for Everyday Adventures

At 1.4 metres long, the Combat Rope Lead offers a practical balance of closeness and freedom, making it suitable for everyday walks, training and outings with strong, energetic dogs.

Combining its rope construction, pressure-tested clip and anti-tangle swivel, it's a dependable addition to your BullyBillows walking kit.

FAQs

How to put a slip lead on a dog

To put a slip lead on your dog, create a loop and slide this over your dog’s head, positioning it just behind their ears. Gently pull on the lead to ensure it’s snug but not too tight, and adjust the rubber stopper so that it’s secure around your dog’s neck. This can provide better control during walks without choking your dog.

Do dogs have to be on a lead?

Dogs should be on a lead in certain areas, including roads, parks, beaches and children’s play areas. Your local council might also have rules for specific places where dogs should be on a lead. However, even in dog parks and fields, it’s important that they are kept under control and that you have a lead on-hand for safety and compliance with local laws.

What is the best lead for dogs that pull?

If you’re struggling with a dog that pulls, having the right lead can make all of the difference. Our training slip leads provide more control without hurting or choking your dog, while our Combat clip leads are a popular choice due to the soft handle that’s comfortable for your hands. Make sure that your lead works well with your chosen collar or harness, which are also important factors when it comes to dogs who pull.

How long should a lead be?

The length of a lead really depends on the situation. A standard length lead (1.2-1.8m) is great for training as well as providing control in busy areas. We also have a Traffic Handle Lead for keeping your dog safe when walking near busy roads. For more freedom on walks, longer leads (up to 10m) allow your dog to explore whilst ensuring they are safely connected to you.
