Fun Fact:

Did you know Pomeranians used to be much, much bigger? Their ancestors were large sled-pulling dogs from the Arctic. It was Queen Victoria who fell so in love with a smaller Pomeranian she brought back from Italy that she started selectively breeding for the tiny size we know today. A queen with excellent taste.

FAQs

What size harness does a Pomeranian need?

Most Pomeranians need an XS or XXS. Always measure chest girth and neck directly against the skin and use our size calculator for the best fit.

Why does my Pomeranian need a harness?

Pomeranians are prone to tracheal collapse - a condition where pressure on the throat can cause the airway to weaken over time. A harness avoids this entirely by distributing pressure across the chest instead.

What type of harness is best for a Pomeranian?

Look for a lightweight harness with a Y-shaped front piece that doesn't restrict shoulder movement, and soft materials that won't damage their double coat.

Do Pomeranians pull on the lead?

They can be surprisingly determined for their size! A front-clip harness such as the TRI harness and consistent training goes a long way.

Will a harness damage my Pomeranian's coat?

A poorly fitted or rough harness can cause matting. Look for our padded, neoprene panels and check the fit regularly, especially after grooming.
