1.2m Mini Combat® Lead

Product description

The length of this lead is 1.2 meters (approximately 3.9 feet) from top to bottom, with a width of 3cm (1.2 inches). This design ensures your dog stays close during walks while still allowing enough space to move around.

The 1.2m Mini Combat Lead includes an anti-tangle clip mechanism to prevent your dog from getting tangled during walks. It has been pressure-tested to withstand hundreds of pounds of force, and the bespoke clip is easy to lock and release onto any collar or harness.

Are you looking for a lead that features a padded handle for a more enjoyable walking experience? Then look no further!

For added comfort, we have lined the inside of the lead and the handle with a generous amount of foam, covered with Neoprene—a material commonly used in wetsuits. Neoprene is soft, quick-drying, and odourless, which enhances your walking experience as it's designed to minimize friction burns.

You can use this lead in conjunction with any of our collars. We also offer matching RR Slip-On Harnesses and RR Slip-On Collars to complete the matching look.

FAQs

How to put a slip lead on a dog

To put a slip lead on your dog, create a loop and slide this over your dog’s head, positioning it just behind their ears. Gently pull on the lead to ensure it’s snug but not too tight, and adjust the rubber stopper so that it’s secure around your dog’s neck. This can provide better control during walks without choking your dog.

Do dogs have to be on a lead?

Dogs should be on a lead in certain areas, including roads, parks, beaches and children’s play areas. Your local council might also have rules for specific places where dogs should be on a lead. However, even in dog parks and fields, it’s important that they are kept under control and that you have a lead on-hand for safety and compliance with local laws.

What is the best lead for dogs that pull?

If you’re struggling with a dog that pulls, having the right lead can make all of the difference. Our training slip leads provide more control without hurting or choking your dog, while our Combat clip leads are a popular choice due to the soft handle that’s comfortable for your hands. Make sure that your lead works well with your chosen collar or harness, which are also important factors when it comes to dogs who pull.

How long should a lead be?

The length of a lead really depends on the situation. A standard length lead (1.2-1.8m) is great for training as well as providing control in busy areas. We also have a Traffic Handle Lead for keeping your dog safe when walking near busy roads. For more freedom on walks, longer leads (up to 10m) allow your dog to explore whilst ensuring they are safely connected to you.
